Join me with fellow travellers for a 90-minute walking tour of Siena to learn about the Palio and the history of the Contrade. This tour will be especially helpful for those of you staying in the city for the days of the Festival (for dates/times, please see my page here), but enjoyable for all.
Tuesday 11 August at 17.00 (5pm)
Wednesday 12 August at 17.00 (5pm)
Meeting point: San Domenico, Siena (outside its main entrance)
Cost: €20 for adults; €10 ages 8-18; under 8s are free! (A €20 deposit is required at time of booking; the balance may be paid after our tour in cash or by card.)
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. We will take our time and enjoy Siena as it prepares for this exciting event! If we have a full group (16 people max), the whisper radio systems will be provided.
NB: This tour does not include any museum entrances, but we might pop into a church or two (so, ladies, please bring something to cover your shoulders).
If you would like to watch a trial race from atop a medieval tower, please go back to the bookings page once you've reserved your tour!
Cancellation policy: Your deposit will be refunded if you cancel up to 48 hours before the tour. If you need to change to a different time or add more people, please contact me directly.
